Hello everyone, I’m Professor Christopher Korten. I grew up in the US; did my advanced degrees at Cambridge and Oxford Universities. I’m currently a full professor at Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan, Poland. The aim of this channel is to provide insight and clear teaching of all aspects of English, including grammar for beginning and various writing skills. I also the psychology of learning, teaching tips, life skills as they relate to education, and much much more.

Thanks for the explanation. I have a doubt. Most of English teachers say that a lot of has a positive meaning and lot of has a negative meaning. Is that corret? Thank you again, professor.
Neither “a lot” nor “a lot of” inherently carries a positive or negative meaning; the connotation depends on the context in which they are used.
